Welcome to TeamG Canine Services, where my passion for promoting stronger relationships between dogs and their owners shines through every session. Based in Pontyclun, I specialise in reward-based training methods that foster positive behaviours in your pets. Im Ceri, the founder of TeamG.
I have 2 working cocker spaniels Gryff & Gwennie who are my absolute world. Together they have been the perfect medicine for getting me through some tough times. Both being completely different characters and amazing fun to be around, they pushed me into the world of gundog training & I absolutely love it!
I have worked within a few industries including education, Sales & Emergencies services, however, I always new something was missing.
We lost my dad just before covid & it put work life balance into perspective for me. This resulted in starting the dog walking side of the business. The walking grew and grew & i'm forever great full to my ever remaining clients for their endless support.
The packs are all built on neutrality (with a little bit of chaos now & again) but their walks are based around routine & engaging environments so they go happy fulfilled pups.
I brought our Gryff home 5 yrs ago & my life hasn't been the same since. I wanted to get into the gundog world and be the best on the field. I wanted a field trial champion just like his dad BUT, When you train the dog in front of you, I started to learn that gryff didnt work well under pressure. I join forums, apps & online training programmes to carry on my training journey with him. There are so many different training techniques that it all became a bit overwhelming. I finally came across reward based training & Gryff thrived from it. I stopped overthinking things, started to have fun & we've never looked back!
After Gwennie came along, I knew what I wanted to do... to help others fulfil a working/active dogs needs & watch them create bonds with their dogs just as I have through the training we are enjoying so much. Rewarding doesn't even come close to the feeling you have when your dog WANTS to train with you & you watch your bond grow stronger every day!!
